Wellness Acupuncture in San Francisco

A visit to Anchor Acupuncture in San Francisco includes a truly comprehensive look at wellness. We listen your history, inquire about nutrition, sleep, digestion, and stress. For each patient, we develop a customized treatment plan, which could include acupuncture, Chinese herbs, cupping, and heat therapy, as well as exercise, massage, and nutrition.

At the heart of our work is a deeply trusting relationship with our patients, one that naturally allows the healing response to happen faster. At our clinic for acupuncture here in San Francisco, we are honored to witness and support all aspects of the human experience, including the struggle, challenge and relief that come with healing.

“All of this is done to optimize your health, for your desired outcome.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Amanda’s care. I came to her several years ago suffering from a chronic bronchial condition that was triggered when I came down with pneumonia in 2001. Since then I had seen lots of doctors, including pulmonary specialists, been prescribed handfuls of antibiotics and inhalers, but never stopped the awful cycle of getting sick over and over again. Since seeing Amanda I feel blessed to say that I no longer suffer from these debilitating lung episodes.”

Acupuncture for Fertility

The use of acupuncture and herbs for fertility is one of the oldest branches of chinese medicine. Those emperors wanted to have lots of children! Millenia later, here we are still helping women and couples achieve healthy pregnancies and heal many other conditions.

Facial Rejuvenation

The practice of facial rejuvenation therapy has a long history in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture in the face stimulates the lymphatic and circulatory systems, which deliver nutrients and oxygen to your skin cells.

Acupuncture heals by harnessing your body’s inherent wisdom to reorganize your internal resources. That may sound esoteric, but think about it – we organize our closets, our finances, our schedules – why wouldn’t our bodies need the same kind of attention!

Chinese Herbal Medicine

I am an herbalist at heart. I actually never had acupuncture before I went to acupuncture school! I applied because I wanted a rigorous education on using herbs as internal medicine.

Cupping is a fantastic way to loosen up a tight neck and shoulders and release the tension we commonly hold. This is important for fertility because, in chinese medicine

The heat from moxa is like no other. It is deep, penetrating, and relaxing. We use moxa to strengthen and warm the body.
